A completely different take from our first launch, this time around we went with what we like to call our essentials. Simple colors, simple designs and a max of 12 products with a variety of colors. Only hoodies and tee’s Nefarious Supply 2 is our most exiting launch to date! Hopefully you enjoy Season 2 as much as we enjoyed getting it together for you guys. 21 Savage & Metro Boomin - Savage Mode II

Atlanta’s favorite duo is back, and darker than ever. Four years after the prolific Savage Mode mixtape dropped and introduced the world to 21 Savage and Metro Boomin, the two have come back with a matured air surrounding their themes, production, and lyricism. 21 Savage, after coming off his second studio album, I Am Greater than I Was, which was nominated for best rap album and received widespread acclaim from critics, bolstered Savage’s repertoire and showed a side of the artist, a type of introspection, not seen on his earlier projects.

Meanwhile Metro Boomin had grown his production quality and creative outlets with the 2018 release of his Not All Heroes Wear Capes, where he collaborated with major artists such as Gucci Mane, Travis Scott, Swae Lee, Gunna, Young Thug, and Drake, just to name a few. Using these experiences, the two friends came back together and created the shadowy and blood-splattered, flame-engulfed 44-minute album!

Runnin

Runnin is the second track on Savage Mode II, but it is an easy first in our eyes among the 15 songs present. and conflagrates the tape with an inferno of classic Boomin 808s, eerily beautiful Diana Ross samples, and incredibly grisly and confident lyricism. 21 Savage shows out once again, dancing around in the bones of his Atlanta roots. On the track, Savage threatens his enemies with glee. He scares them because they know he spares no one. 21 reminisces to the days of Savage Mode and gets creative with the usage of the track’s title in his bars, creating an overall very enjoyable opener.

Glock in My Lap

Glock in My Lap is easily the second hardest track on the tape. The hard piano progression weaving the backbone of the beat and the heavy 808s thumping overtop create a suitable foundation for the other melodies such as the violin riffs at the very top. In layman’s terms, Metro has done it yet again. Creating a perfect atmosphere for his counterpart to set aflame, and 21 does just that. Spitting bars about gang violence and his experience with lethal weapons, 21 portrays his paranoia and alertness, a glock in his lap protecting him from any danger.

Steppin on N****s

The vibe we immediately felt from the first few seconds of this track was N.W.A’s signature “Cruisin’ in My 64”, with its ‘80s/’90s West Coast rap themed production. The beat caught our ears and never let go, the disco synths and disc scratches dancing on our eardrums. 21 raps about figuratively having his foot on the neck of the entire rap game, along with his telltale topic of violence and retaliation for wrongdoings. The sample for this track, in particular, is Rodney O and Joe Cooley’s “Nobody Disses Me”.

Snitches and Rats (Interlude)

The Snitches and Rats (Interlude) is one of two tracks on Savage Mode II helmed by renowned actor, director, and narrator, Morgan Freeman. Almost as cinematic as his first appearance on “Intro”, Freeman tells the listening audience the difference between a snitch and a rat, concluding towards the beginning of the actual track, that rats are much worse. Freeman’s voice adds a heightened sense of darkness to the already murky atmosphere, providing a powerful and provocative pathway for 21’s sound.

Brand New Draco

Brand New Draco is another classic Metro-Savage banger, with 21 boasting about a brand new draco he’s purchased, which he can’t wait to use on his enemies. This track holds an anthemic feel behind the heavy 808s and consistent high-hats. A synth melody tickles at the edge of the listener’s hearing, adding a nice two-melody layer over the deep production. On the track 21 also speaks on other illegal activities, wealth, and sexual endeavors.

Many Men

Many Men is a call back to 50 Cent’s viral track under the same name, and even samples the song in the last few seconds of the track. On the song 21 speaks on all the illegal and dangerous activities he’s partaken in and confesses that though he wants to leave his past behind him, there are still those who are out for his head, wanting revenge for his past wrongdoings, violence, and anger. This track was teased in the trailer for Savage Mode II.

THREE65 - Misery Loves Company

While all the artists we feature on Nefarious Supply are all extremely talented an artist that we have been watching grow and continues to be one of our favorites is Ohio based singer Three65. Catching our eye almost 2 years ago we first caught wind of the him under his original moniker “Heartthrobsworld” after making a change and becoming more true to himself Three65 was born and since that change he has been pumping out nothing but consistent heat. We first featured Three65 last year on the platform when he released his debut EP Summer’s Over. A 5 track project, Summer’s Over was and continues to be the perfect primer for him and with stand out tracks like Feedback, and Nobody its clear that when Three65 gets into the studio him and his team know what they’re doing. After being low-key for a while and releasing a couple of singles Three65 once again blew us away with the surprise release of his debut album “Misery Loves Company”. A total of 12 tracks with no features Three65 not only carries the solo project but the production and the team has has chosen to work with to put the final product together shows that Three65 is taking is career and his craft seriously.

Hey Three65 it’s been almost a year since we caught up with you! So just give us a brief update how has 2020 been what’s new on your end?

2020 has been kind of a whirlwind honestly. With the pandemic taking place, I did a lot of experimenting with my music. I was literally making beats and writing songs everyday for months. It was a time for me to really get to work, especially when I felt as if I couldn’t do anything else at that moment. It was pretty worth it though i’d say. A lot of good things came out of those sessions for me and I’m in a good space mentally because of it.

What artists and music have you had in rotation and what’s your favorite song or album right now?

I’ve been listening to a lot of Future and Brent Faiyaz lately. Their music is just how I feel at the moment. There’s this artist I found on Soundcloud as well named Bashfortheworld and he’s hard as hell. I’ve been listening to this song he did called “Vida” and it’s fire. You guys should check him out.

THREE65 · SUMMERS OVER

Last time we had talked was the release of Summers Over - EP since that time you released a couple of singles including; “Lost Girl” and “Could’ve Had It All”, tell us about those tracks and how your sound has changed from your previous EP?

The EP was just a collection of songs I did that I felt needed to come out somehow. There was really no direction for that project. I was just making music. Now as for the songs you mentioned, those sessions were actually the ones that I realized who I am as an artist and what I can actually do. I used to be scared about talking about my experiences within my music and I was also pretty insecure with my singing ability and those songs changed that for me. I finally feel like my own artist and I feel like I’m bringing something new to the table.

So on October 2, 2020 you dropped a bomb surprise with the release of your debut album “Misery Loves Company” give us a brief background on the project, how it came together, and what was your goal with the album?

I started making the album right when the EP dropped. I felt like I had a lot of things that I needed to get off my chest and the best way to do that for me is by making a project that revolves around that. I had a lot to talk about on that album and I use music as a way to cope with things. As for how it came together, it was me making song after song and realizing that a lot of these felt like album material. I couldn’t let them go to waste by dropping them as singles, so I decided to put an album together and that’s how the project became what it is today. My main goal for the project was to be at peace with those situations. Happiness is important and I needed to let myself feel that. Another goal I have is that this album helps someone somehow. Wether they’re going through a break up or something else, I hope that if they find this project and listen to it, that it makes them realize they’re not alone with whatever they’re going through.

First listen through I loved the project but my favorite songs gotta be; “The Way”, “Cross My Heart (Interlude)”, “Afterlife” and “Last Call” tell us more about these tracks, and what are your favorite tracks from your project?

Cross My Heart, Explode and Afterlife might be my favorite songs on the project. I feel like they show my range and I’m extremely honest about how I’m feeling on those tracks. I was pretty honest on every song, but those three are really special to me when it comes to being honest as an artist. The Way is an interesting one as well because that’s the only one I produced on the album. I remember when I first made the beat, me and my friend Marc were looking for samples and he found it and was like “You should loop this.” I did that, added some drums, then recorded it a couple of days later. That one was pretty fun to make. Last Call was a fun one too. That was actually the last song I made for the album and it felt like such an outro. It felt like a true ending to a story and it was the last piece to the puzzle.

So walk us through the beginning to end of putting the project together. What was your creative process, what producers did you tap in, and who helped you with mixing and mastering?

My creative process was just me making as many songs and beats as I could, and to talk about my issues in a way that could be put into music. The producers that worked on this project were me, Worldwidetak, Patty Mills, Blondie, Dj Bean, and Matt Hue. I did all the mixing and mastering as well.
What would you say was the most challenging thing about putting the project together?

I’d say the tracklist was the most challenging thing to get done. There’s a lot of songs that didn’t make the final cut. Maybe I’ll put them on something else because if there’s one thing I know about myself, it’s that I never give up on ideas I have.

Follow up to the last question: what was your favorite part of putting the project together?

Mixing the album was definitely my favorite part. Making sure these songs sound how I want them to sound was such a cool thing to do. There’s a sense of creative freedom when you can envision what you want something to sound like and it actually sounding that way when you work on it. Engineering is so important and the people who do that deserve more respect.

What’s next for you in 2020 what are some goals you hope to accomplish before the end of the year?

I want to get better at making beats. I’ve been thinking about picking up a guitar and learning how to play it but we’ll see how that goes. I also just want to make better music than the stuff I’ve done before. I want to keep elevating and pushing my sound to higher places. I love music man and it’s only right that I try my hardest to be better than who I was previously.

Honestly bro any time you drop some new music I’m blown away because your passion for your craft speaks for you and your discography is solid so this is your time to shine! Any last words?

Be yourself, don’t lie to yourself about what you feel and pursue your passions. We only got one shot at life as far we know, so use that to do what you love and live the life that you want to live.

Using the members of Van Buren Records and other friends such as Kadeem and $ean Wire to decorate the sky of his Starry Night, Ricky Felix does an amazing job painting the introspective from the varied perspectives and topics tackled, as well as the lyrical versatility of his team, Ricky Felix pulls his strings and everything falls into place beautifully. You hear Van Buren heavyweights such as Luke Bar$, Saint Lyor, Meech, and Lord Felix all over this head-bopping tape, and deep boom bap-esque, deep, rich, Brockton production that has led the Van Buren boys to cult-like heights in their city, an amazing project.

Rali displays yet again what Jailon is capable of in his element, with a Roddy Rich/Young Thug-esque flow and a gritty and grounded production surrounding him, Stephen delves into a deeper aspect of his sound. Themes of fame and glory, muddled with real-life issues such as drug-running, playing with time, gangbanging, and death at the hands of enemies and the government all swim through Rali’s essence and Jailon uses them to power the creative and conceptual aspects behind the tape.

3am Sound - Still Alive

From the first track to the last, 3amsound comes with the intensity, suave, and confidence displayed in artists such as Bryson Tiller and 6lack, before switching flows and vibes reminiscent of A Boogie and Eli Sostre. His topics are scattered over the tape, however, it seems they are loosely concentrated on love and the ups and downs that follow. The sultry and almost vintage production on the tape gives 3am the atmosphere he needs to build the world that he wants, and that’s exactly what he does on Still Alive.

Starting off with what is known as an “introlude” by Rains’ standard, Run2U begins with a beautiful diamond-bright entrance by the artist. Rains’ silky smooth tone of voice, and pretty much perfect pitch slowly lure the listener into the rest of what evolves into sea of contemporary vibes, wave after wave of endless vocal talent, while washing over the listener’s ears with a message perfect for that particular vibe, such as “Yeah Yeah” dusky, overcast production, that accentuates her topic of the need for closeness and security in the face of uncertainty, or her Expectations (Freestyle), where the playful sub-bass and hi-hats dance around the grounded 808 pattern, using minimal engineering to put Rains’

Yaseen - Summer Beach House

Yaseen first things first I would like to thank you for agreeing to interview with Nefarious Supply as our artist of the week so just to get the interview started introduce yourself who is Yaseen and what experiences or influences led you to choosing the path of an artist?

Thank you guys for having me. I was always a big fan of Nefarious Supply so being here with you guys is a special moment for me.From a young age I’ve always found myself connecting more with artistic and creative outlets. I started painting and drawing from a very young age and then I slowly branched off into writing and other art mediums. I was very closed off so I used creative expression as my language and whenever I would be faced with adversity from life, friendships, loved ones etc, art was one of the things that helped me subsist what I was dealing with. Alongside practicing art, I was also a huge music fanatic and I drew inspiration from music and my personal life and tried to emulate it into a painting etc. Eventually the two worlds collided for me when I came across the album “Take Care” and I was really drawn into how well Drake put forth his emotions on a record and how beautifully he communicated his message. I saw myself doing the same thing. It wasn't until my last year of high school I started to get into recording and singing. I wanted YASEEN to become an artist who can share their heartache and melancholy with others so that they can better themselves, someone who’s ready to feed you from his truth hoping you’ll be able to find what you truly are.

As of now where are you located, did you grow up in this area, and if so how would you say this area has played an influence in your sound and image as an artist?

As of now I'm located in Calgary, Canada. I moved here when I was around 9-10 years old and I’ve been here ever since so I would definitely say I grew up here. I used to live in a really small town a few hours from here called Brooks. I’ve seen that place show up on “Worst Places To Live In Canada” lists so that can kind of give you an idea for what it’s like there. Moving to a bigger city at a young age definitely opens your eyes to a lot of new things and allows you to experience a bit more as well. The city I live in isn’t known for its music scene at all. There’s definitely a lot of talent coming out of Calgary but when you look at Calgary from an outside perspective you’ll see that it’s not well known for its music. Knowing this actually motivated me even further to pioneer my own sound in an attempt to give the city something that not only they would be proud of, but that I would be proud of as well. I want to inspire people to put out more meaningful art so that we can really put the city on the map and be proud of the city that we live in.

Who are your top 5 artists you currently have in your rotation and of these 5 which individual artist would you say has had the biggest impact on you?

Currently in my rotation I have Drake, Majid Jordan, Giveon, B Young, and Rema. The list always switches up after some time but as of lately those are probably my most played artists. There’s a lot of artists that have had a huge impact on my music but if I really had to pick one out I would have to go with Majid Jordan. I'm really drawn into their writing and production. They have been big inspirations for me for a long time and I’ve learned a lot just from studying their music. They definitely inspired a few songs off of “Summer Beach House”. The topics they choose to sing about and the way they can create the cohesiveness between the production and vocals is something I hope to achieve one day. One of my all time favourites from them is the song “A Place Like This”, even though it was released in 2014 I still play it like it just came out.

So let's get into the music you actually just released on your debut album “Summer Beach House” which is a solid body of work especially for a debut. Tell us about the album, what inspired it, the creative process behind it, and what your experience was putting this body of work together?

Thank you! “Summer Beach House” was almost like this “dreamplace” for me and someone who I was very close with. It was this fond hope that we had. “Don’t worry, one day we will live in a Summer Beach House”. It was a goal that I desperately wanted with this one person but unfortunately as time progressed I felt that dream slowly fade away. I’ve learned from my past situation and hopefully I'm able to grow from that.

The project is inspired by my old dreams of living in a Summer Beach House with this one person. The project is one long road trip into my past that ends at the last track titled “Summer Beach House”. Throughout the tape I revisit my past and reflect on things I've done and what I’ve felt throughout the experience. I want the listeners to see if they can piece together the events and most importantly I want the listeners to benefit from what i'm saying in some way, shape or form.

I gotta say for a debut project you also got some heavy hitting guest appearances including DazeOnEast, Moslikely, and HRTBRKFEVER. How did you collab with these artists and how did the creative experience vary as you worked with each one?

I had connected with them through social media. I ended up sending them some snippets of what I had going on and they were all down to be a part of it. I sent through tracks that I thought fit them best and they all responded with the perfect verses. These guys are all amazing people and artists and I was really happy that they were able to be a part of my project. As for the creative experience it was generally similar between them. After hearing what I sent through they each took their time to do what they do best and sent it back as soon as they could. These are all artists who I’ve been listening to for some time now. I remember showing my friends their music years ago and to have them be a part of my debut project was an special moment for me.

On the production end of things what producers did you tap in for the project and who helped you mix and master the project?

I connected with a lot of amazing producers for this project. The project had a mix of beats that I was sent and stumbled upon online. There's a full credit page on my instagram (@downtownscene) where it shows all the producers that were a part of the project. There's an artist named 40K who I met through social media who mixed/mastered and also executive produced the project. He also produced “Talk to You” and really manipulated every track on the tape until it was perfect. I’m truly thankful for everyone who helped put the project together, it wouldn’t have been possible without everyone's contribution. Big shoutout to my collective as well “Mazieme Muse” this project would never be what it is if it wasn’t for everyone's help.

So what’s next for you? Will you be dropping any visuals to accompany the album, and when can fans expect to hear some new music?

As of right now I am currently in the process of dropping some more visuals for the album. I think “Stargirl” and “Saturday Night” are definitely songs I want to make some visuals for in the future. I had released a short film on my page titled “Don’t Sleep When We Talk” on IGTV and YouTube prior to the release of the project. There was also a lookbook and instagram filters that can all be found on my instagram as well. As far as the music goes, I'm already back in the studio trying to create some new sounds and although there’s no date set for new music I would say that fans can definitely expect some more records before the year is done.

In addition to new music what are some of your goals you hope to accomplish before the end of 2020 and into 2021

Growth. The biggest thing for me is to see improvements in my mental health and become more knowledgeable. So before the end of 2020 I definitely want to finish a few books that I’ve been wanting to read and hopefully I can set myself up to go into 2021 more knowledgeable, healthier, and happier.

Who should we feature next on Nefarious Supply?

There’s this artist I would like to introduce to you guys. He goes by the name “TRUSEÉ”. He’s an artist that’s part of my collective “Mazieme Muse”. He’s someone that has amazing potential and I really believe he has big things coming for him if he can keep working on his craft. I highly recommend you guys check out his music.

Chanelle Kazadi first things first thank you for reaching out to Nefarious Supply to set up an interview with us! We are really excited to feature you this week! So to get this interview started introduce yourself. Who is Chanelle Kazadi, and how did you become an artist?

Yo what's up I'm artist Chanalle Kazadi from Kent, OH . I'm an artist of many styles but known mostly for trapsoul & boombap. I started doing music back in 2017 , I used to hang around a few local artists just supporting the wave then one day i was at my homies house freestyling with them and they asked me if i ever thought about getting on the mic. That same night I wrote my first actual verse. It took me a few takes to catch a natural vibe but once I did it was on from there.

How long have you been a musician and what artists or important figures in your life would you say have had the biggest influence on you as well as your music?

I've been doing music for about 3 years ; I would say my influencers for the most part would be Kanye West, Missy Elliott, The Fugees and ODB. My mom would always play their CDs growing up or she would give me the updated CDs of artists I listened to and play their albums on my own time.

What area are you from and how would you say this area has influenced your sound? In addition to this, how is this area for underground and emerging musicians?

I'm from Kent, OH which neighbors well known Akron, OH (LeBron James) . Being brought up in Portage County i've seen a lot...might not be as major as Cleveland but every place has its own dilemmas which influence most of my writing. Everything I went through taught me a big lesson on life. There's definitely a growing music scene everyone just has to keep working hard and it'll get noticed soon enough.

Who do each of you listen to on a regular basis? Who are your go-to artists that really strike your creative nerve? Or are simply your favorite artists to sit back and vibe too, all genres are welcome?

Lately I've been listening to TDE artists , MF Doom , Lord Apex, Griselda & more. They've been inspiring me on another level with my music.

What keeps your current audience listening and why should people start listening if they haven’t already? What parts of you as an artist do you feel are most attractive to your audience? Is it your lyrical ability? Flow? Your style? Or maybe a conglomerate of those things?

My audience listens to my music because it's REAL, that's all me, it's my own everything I put into these songs. To the people that aren't hip to me, trust and believe out of all the songs I've dropped or will be dropping at least one of them you will love. I guarantee it.

Where or what are you representing with your music? What concepts and themes drive the foundational aspects of the creation of your sound? Why are these concepts and themes, if any, so important to you?

What I'm representing with my music is being yourself. I see a lot of people having these opinions on what an artist should be, do or say and I'm my own true representation that none of what people have to say about you matters as long as you're being yourself and love the person that you are.

So let's dig into your discography last year you dropped your album “Harvest Hooligan” tell us about the album what inspired the name as well as overall sound of the album, what led you to tapping in DamnTobs, and Visual9, and who was on the production end of the project?

What influenced me to name the project, "Harvest Hooligan" is because I grew up on a street called "Harvest Drive" with just my mom and two little brothers, also my birthday is November 7th which is the harvesting season. Hooligan is from my past and my encounters with the law. The sounds were inspired by me wanting to give more of a storytelling of that lifestyle. I appreciate the homie DamnTobs & my brother Visual for being a part of the journey. Visual had produced Nonstop and I remember him surprising me with the beat and said it would be a perfect fit. One thing about my bro he stays making sure I'm always on top of my game. The last song Warning was produced by my homie Millz Pe$o from Cleveland. Millz also produced the song featuring DamnTobs.

This past May you also dropped your newest body of work “Paystub EP” talk to us about this EP and walk us through each track?

On May 8th of this year I dropped my third project Paystub of 4 tracks. First track Paradise gives you the vibes of me wanting to leave all the bad vibes and yarning for a fresh start grinding towards the perfect getaway. Second track Maria brings a more upbeat fun club vibe slightly expressing my love for the spanish culture. Third track was more so motivational "cash i need more" basically saying i'm nowhere near where i need to be and have a long way to go. Last but not least Mike Jones a lot of people have told me this one's their favorite. In this song I wanted to express how much things have changed with people's energy towards me from when I first started vs now. It's funny how things work but it is what it is at the end of the day. Overall Paystub is about work ethic and each song expresses my journey while increasing the numbers on my paystub.

So we’re 8 months into the rollercoaster of 2020 and it has been a lot of ups and downs for everyone that being said what goals we’re you able to accomplish this past yeat and what are some things you hope to accomplish before the year is out?

Covid has made some major changes with everyone's plan this year but I honestly wouldn't change this past year for nothing. I've still accomplished what I needed to, such as dropping a project, networking, creating some of the most amazing music, traveling to Los Angeles, Chicago & other cities. Demon Discography Vol. 1

We promised you didn’t we? A whole playlist dedicated to underground talent all around the world, well here we are. Welcome to the first volume of our Demon Discography, a playlist o tracks compiled of underground artists we’ve been listening too over the past few weeks. This playlist will drop a new volume every single month, filled with new sounds and beautiful creations from artists in R&B, rap, hip-hop, and indie and much more!

In this month’s discography, we have artists such as Ari PenSmith, Amaarae, and Eli Sostre, smooth yet affirmative paladins of the underground community, as well as newcomers such as Mustafa, Artie J, Dee Gotti, and Brandon Banks who’re taking their sound to new heights!

Of our substantial and well-endowed list, we’ve picked our heaviest hitters and the most fire tracks in our opinion, however, give the playlist a listen and tell us in the comments what your top five tracks are! We’d love to hear your thoughts!

SwaVay - Okay

Probably the most lyrically aggressive track on our favorite five, SwaVay strikes again while the iron’s hot, with a 21 Savage tag to start the track off the listener already know the Boominati Worldwide artist is going to deliver. Okay showcases SwaVay’s lyrical ability to the max, with bars such as:

“If I did it on my own, tell me, who the fuck I'm gon' thank?
And I'm pullin' up on niggas with that brick, no, I ain't Craig”

SwaVay shows his versatility and hunger as a new artist and puts the now Dolo Records label he’s signed too even further on the map with his pure talent and creativity.

NJOMZA - sad for you

NJOMZA’s titular song off her sophomore album takes us into a magical place off of the first note. The artist’s butter-smooth vocals gliding along the light-hearted synth pulls and comfy 808, which halts and heeds at the very utterance of her lyrics. sad for you was made for NJOMZA if that makes any sense. This meaning we don’t believe anyone could’ve pulled off or added anything else to this song to make it as perfect as it is. The song talks about heartbreak and being past the point of raw emotions such as anger and sadness, with some reflection, NJOMZA realizes she’s simply disappointed in her lover, and at this point in her life, she’s sad for them.

reggie - Southside Fade

reggie blows the competition away with this anecdotal, Kendrick/Earthgang-esque track. Southside Fade has reggie speaking on topics of the lack of gun laws in the Southside, and how Houston is so big you feel like you’re on top of the world when you're on it. A folky indie alternative production helms around reggie’s lyricism, and the guitar progression leads the instrumentals all into place, Southside Fade is a beautiful letter to Houston, one reggie executes perfectly.

Artie J - A Thousand Winters’

This song is on our favorite five for one simple fact, one that’s plagued the other tracks on this list. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do. If Artie J was aiming for a soulful R&B vibe with dreamy, reverbed vocals made to give off a somewhat melancholy, yet hazily beautiful atmosphere? Well, we’d say he’s succeeded. A Thousand Winters’ is produced just right and the piano chord progression ties the song together throughout the 3 minutes and 10 seconds, and the beat switch towards the end gives us a fitting closer for such an outstanding track.

Amaarae - FANCY

Our final track from this months favorite five, FANCY explores Amaarae in a more upbeat and bragggadocious light. She metaphorically dances through the halls of the track, dimly lit and alluring, while the spotlight is all on her and her infectious hook. The song is quite short but is quite a vibe, and doesn’t spread itself too thin in terms of what it’s trying to do. Amaarae flexes all over FANCY, and lets everyone know, she has smpke for whoever wants to try her, and time for whoever wants to call her “Zaddy”

SA - Brooklyn’s Finest

S.A. welcome to Nefarious Supply we are really excited to feature you as the artist for the week. So just to get the interview started introduce yourself. Who is SA, and what got you started as an artist?

Hey Thank you for having me. SA is a R&B singer from Brooklyn. What got me started as an artist was when I was 8 years old, my teacher told me that I can sing but at that age I wasn’t trying to take music seriously. But he convinces me to start at an early age. Then when I was 13, I was gifted the opportunity to be in a music group and from there the journey started.

How long have you been making music and what artists would you say are some of your biggest influences as of now?

I’ve been making music for 5 years now and it’s been a hell of a journey. There're two artists that I can say played an influence into the created my overall sound was Bryson Tiller & PARTYNEXTDOOR because they influence Trapsoul and I was a huge fan of that type of sound so I was like why not try to be like them and join that sound of Trapsoul.

What area are you from and how has this area played an influence on your overall sound?

I’m from Fort Greene, Brooklyn, NYC. This area influenced my sound because you don’t hear a lot of R&B Artist coming out of New York, let alone Brooklyn so It shaped me to become another R&B artist coming out of Brooklyn.

In addition to influencing you, how is the area for underground musicians? Is there alot of talent in the area, and have you worked with any artist from the area?

Brooklyn has been known for Rapping. You don’t hear a lot of underground R&B music coming out of Brooklyn. I haven’ link up with anyone that does R&B music. There only has been two people and that was Izzy Finesse & La Mulaa,

So as far as projects I gotta say you’re on a roll with releasing new music within the last year you’ve put out; “Untitled“, “Send a Message - EP”, “Chapter 1 - EP”, and “Chapter 2 - EP” so tell us about each of them and out of all your projects which one is your favirote one?

SA · Untitled.

Preciate you. My first EP was Send a Message that came out in February 2019. The whole EP was the beginning of people to know who was SA and what I was capable of doing in this Underground Music Industry, That EP includes two of my favorites songs I loved to make Gucci Drip (Feat. Izzy Finesse) & Reasons. A couple months later I dropped my first album called Untitled. that came out in September 2019.

I made that album to have three different type of R&B Music. Chill vibes like Maria or Party vibe like Best Friends, and Late night in your feelings music like Better Alone. Then shorty after I came up with the Idea of creating an EP series called Chapters and each Chapter has different music in them. Then I decided to use different females faces to represent the Chapters. So far, I’ve I drop only Chapter 1 & 2. There’s only going to be 4 Chapters and those will come out when my 2nd album comes out. Out of all of the albums I would say there all my favorites because they all have a different music to their name, which makes them special.

You’ve also worked with Izzy Finesse, Roseryhill, and Kdence, how did you end up linking with them and how was the creative session working with each of these artists?

First of all, those guys are dope artist. Secondly, I linked up with Izzy Finesse when he was 9 and I was 8, we’ve been family ever since then we came up in music together. Whether it's doing a show together or we had to write music together because we were in a music group. So, when we were chilling in the summer, I told him I wanted him on this song called Gucci Drip, He agreed to do with me and then we went to studio and the rest was history. I link up with Roseryhills from IG, we knew a mutual friend and I just heard his one song called Atlantis Interlude by him. So, hit him up and we became good friends and when I told him I wanted him on a song, it was an easy yes and that song became True Colors. I linked up with Kdence on IG as well, I listened to one of his songs called Freakshow and I had to asked him for a feature and he was with it and that song became Running Game, Pt.1. The creative sessions for all three of them were smooth. They all complemented the song in their own way and it was a fun experience to work with other people.

Do you plan on coming out with any new projects this year?

Yea I do, I have a two-part album coming on the way but the first one that’s dropping first is WHEN MY LOVE DIED on August 10.I also have the last two chapters coming Chapters 3 & 4 after WHEN MY LOVE DIED drops. There will be one feature on WHEN MY LOVE DIED with my guys Drey Armani & Omari Night and most of the album was produce by my producer Downsilence. I have two collab eps with JUICETHERIDDER and LOVEMEFRVR coming soon so expect a lot of music from now all the way to the beginning of 2021.

So what’s next for you in 2020 are there any goals you want to accomplish before the year is out?

I want to continue growing my brand and keep shooting for the stars and aim for the moon as the late Pop Smoke would say.

redveil - Niagara

Redveil has officially put his name on the map with the release of his newest project, Niagara. With flows like water and lyricism as heavy as a wave, once Redveil drops his foot on the gas, he never lets up. Born Marcus Morton, Redveil is a DMV native, specifically from Prince George’s County, a place that has housed talents such as Foggieraw, Rico Nasty, and Q Da Fool.

On this tape Redveil is coming with a vengeance and drive like no other and in this review, NS is here to tell you all our absolute favorite tracks off the album! Another DMV native has the the world’s attention, us included. 😈

Campbell

With a completely soulful entrance mixed with elements of trap flows and lyricism, redveil doesn’t just get his foot in the door, instead, he glides into the room with effortless energy and skill, rapping about his dreams of stardom and success, all the while bringing his friends for the ride! This is the shortest track on the mixtape however, it does what it needs to do and introduces the world to redveil the artist.

Weight

Weight is the heavyweight track of this project for sure. With a vocal-led production, looping a beautiful chord progression that blends beautifully over a consistent kick and snare, as well as a deceptively full 808. On the track, redveil is basically convincing himself that he isn’t feeling any sort of weight or pressure from the industry in his pursuit of his dreams.

He speaks on what he does to avoid extra burdens such as not getting involved in “BS”, needing his own space, because lately people have been feeling like wolves in sheep’s clothing.

5500 (ft. Gio)

5500 is probably our favorite track on the tape and showcases redveil’s ability to catch a vibe, run with it, experiment with it, and ultimately utilize it to make a point. On 5500 redveil speaks on topics such as making money, counting blessings, stacking chips, working tirelessly, and keeping his goal insights. The acoustics and the percussion bouncing off the surfaces of the track gives the track the feel as if it was made in an echo chamber.

Gio’s feature on the track adds another level of “oomph” as well, doing its job of continuing the funky trap vibe towards the end of the track, were a beautiful sample leads it home.

Revolutions (ft. Junii)

This track has a wavy and eerily endearing sound, inviting listeners into the topic sentence Revolutions sounds hungry and driven, and continues to showcase redveil’s unbridled lyricism.

However, he’s complemented by an equally heavy verse, from the talented Junii, who speaks on topics like stability, censorship, sacrifices, and getting closer to god. The two blend in and out of the concept of Revolutions, which we believe is an allusion to the world spinning round and round and with each revolution, new problems and processes reveal themselves.

Clench (ft. Chris Patrick)

Clench one of our final faves from the tape portrays Redveil in his most flex-worthy form, speaking on his opponents being hungry for his spot, building black wealth, assumptions he’s had to clear up, keeping his success lowkey, black lives matter, and drinking water, all on a high-paced, upbeat, boom-bap production, all curated and created by his talent alone.

Autmn Rains - Run2U

Hey Autmn first things first I thank you for coming on our platform and interviewing with Nefarious Supply! Just to get the interview started give us a brief introduction to yourself who is Autmn Rains and what led you down the path to becoming an artist?

Thanks for reaching out to me, so much love. I always loved to sing but it took me a long time to believe in myself. After shutting my creative side off for so long I realized how unhappy I was within myself. Music was the only thing that made me feel at peace, so I knew I had to find a way to overcome myself. I started taking music more serious about six years ago. My goal is to make music that is me, what I truly feel and resonate with and I hope to inspire and contribute to others in the process.

What area are you based out of and how would you say this area has influenced you, your sound and your overall feeling of music?

I’m from Melbourne, Australia. I wouldn’t say that my area has influenced my sound. I draw inspiration from situations I have experienced here though this hasn’t necessarily been because of the area.

In addition to being from the area describe the underground music scene of the area have you worked with any artists from the area and if so who were they and how was the experience?

Honestly, I am not really in the music scene in my city I haven’t worked with anyone here. I usually keep to myself. In my experience collaborations are not common here, I am not exactly sure why.

What are some things you have learned since you’ve started making music and if you could give some advice to a new artist what would it be?

I have learnt self-discipline, self-belief and hard work are so important. They really go a long way over talent. Everyone’s path is different and it’s so important not to compare your journey to somebody else’s. My advice to a new artist would be to take the time to work on crafting your sound and don’t be in a rush. Find somebody you can trust that will tell you the truth and build together. Have good people around you that lift you up, it’s hard enough believing in yourself consistently so you need as much support as you can get. Finally, humility goes a long way there is always something you can learn from somebody else.

Who are some of your biggest musical influences to date and what albums would you say influenced you as well?

I would say Aaliyah is one of my biggest influences. Followed by Jhene Aiko, H.E.R, 6lack, Kehlani and Russ. Aaliyah’s last self-titled album was a big one for me because of the production. I love her airy vocals over the dark beats and when I first heard it, it was a type of R&B I never felt before.

Autmn Rains · More (prod. by LxndxnAve)

So let’s talk about your music! I gotta say I’m blown away by everything but some of my favorite songs from you gotta be; “Think About You”, “Myself”, “No Games”, “More” and “Convinced” tell us about each of those songs the feature you tapped in as well as who helped you with production?

Thank you so much. All of the production was done by LxndxnAve. “Think About You,” “Myself” and “No Games” were originally part of the weekly “Sunday Sessions” drops that I was doing when I first started releasing music in 2019. They were all uploaded to SoundCloud first and I later decided to upload them to distribution platforms. LxndxnAve is my in-house producer so those records including the features honestly were an experimentation of the sound that was to evolve into the Run2u EP.

“More” was actually supposed to be on the Run2u EP, though we didn’t feel that it fit the theme with the other records so it was released as a single. “Convinced” was actually recorded two years ago and was also supposed to be on the EP. It didn’t make it because I felt I had evolved as a singer since then, and I wanted the debut EP to feel like a consistent “me” in that moment of time. I felt that if I waited any longer, I wouldn’t have released it, so it was a good lead up before Run2u dropped.

You also just released your debut album Run2U which features 7 songs, walk us through the album and give us some background on each of the songs? What does this album mean to you, and who helped you with production, mixing and mastering?

This project means so much to me because it marks a point in time where I overcame a lot of my fears. I was finally able to get to a point where I was happy with what I had put together, I wasn’t afraid to share the music with the world and I was comfortable with expressing myself as an artist. All the records were mixed and mastered by LxndxnAve. He executively produced every record, with the exception of “Yeah, Yeah,” which was co-produced by DV$TPH. From the very beginning, I wanted the project to feel like a journey, so I ask my listeners to hear it in order as it has a cohesive flow and tells a story. I also love late night drive type music so with this project I really wanted to capture that aesthetic.

It starts off with the intro “Wanted This (Introlude),” as soon as Lxndxn made the beat, he wrote the first few lines and the rest of the words just came out instantly for me. I wanted all of the writing to be really organic for this project and I didn’t want anything to be forced. There were probably about 100 records written though they were never used, the 7 records I chose were the ones where I felt the freest in both the writing and recording process. “Wanted this” explains my situation perfectly, it starts off with “I’m taking time to do it my way my way,” as I took my time putting this project together. It also sums up a lot of the heartbreak I experienced in my life but didn’t know how to express at the time.

“Wassup” is really soothing, I was actually sitting on the couch with no intention of making music that day and Lxndxn started the record, I got up and just wrote what I was feeling in that moment while hearing the beat. “Yeah Yeah” and “Love for Ya” flowed for me really quickly for me. Those records almost “came to me” in that moment, I didn’t really think about it while I was writing them, they just felt right in this unconscious way. With “Expectations,” it was really fun to record I got to use my higher range and I enjoyed the challenge. Again, the verse just fell out of me in that moment. “Louisville” was one of those records where I just felt such good vibes making it and it had to be on there. We would car test all of the records and with Louisville I literally couldn’t keep still every time I heard it. I felt that it fit the theme really well collectively. Finally, the outro “O.B.E” I wanted it to feel like a dream and I wanted to forget that it was me when I heard it, it’s really soothing so I felt it was a nice way to end the EP.

So what’s next for you in 2020 what are some goals you hope to accomplish by the end of the year?

I am working on my next project that I hope to release by the end of 2020. I am also releasing some merchandise very soon. I want to expand on my visuals and just get to that next level to challenge myself with the music overall.

TOMBOY Records - Underground Label Start Up

Tomboy Records first things first thank you for reaching out to us we we’re really excited to interview Amaka, and now it's even more exciting to interview the actual label behind this talented artist! So just to get the interview started tell us about Tomboy Records, how did it start, who contributed to its start, and what is the meaning behind the name?

Thank you, I really enjoyed reading that interview. I started Tomboy Records in 2018 after finishing my freshman year in college for Music Business. I always knew I wanted to do something in music like be a musician or producer, but I never thought about being on the business side. My friend I met in college helped contribute to its start by helping me pay to register my business. Pretty much if it wasn’t for that I wouldn’t have started this label when I did. The name is an acknowledgment of growing up as a ’tomboy’, being into stuff like sports and my dad's favorite type of music. The choice of name is a representation of who I was and grew up to be.

Where is the label based out of, and how would you say this area is a hub for underground and emerging artists if so why?

The label is based out of Scarborough, which has so many talented, underground, and emerging artists in many genres it’s actually insane. Lots of artists are on their come up like LOONY, as well as Dejuan. What's so amazing though is it’s not just Scarborough but also the cities that are more east. These artists are so focused on making it to the downtown scene but from our personal experience a lot of the talent that go to these events or have their shows downtown are from the suburbs outside the downtown core. The east I feel is overlooked even though it has such a strong hub for upcoming artists of all types of genres.

Who is currently on Tomboy Record’s creative team, how do each of you bring something to the label to help it grow as a brand and business, and talk us through the daily day to day of being a start up label?

C: We’re our own creative team pretty much every idea we bounce off of each other until it’s perfect to go through with. I deal with all the business and Kéia helps me execute every idea. She’s the creative behind this all. She’s created show flyers, our logo, music cover art, and much more content, which has helped the label grow as a brand in ways I couldn’t have done by myself. Our daily day to day consists of reading a lot of emails, checking in with artists to see what they’ve been up to which includes music they’re working on, artist development, and everyday things. Our day to day also consists of planning content to create and post, staying updated on the industry, and creating connections with people. All while managing and overseeing the music and numbers.

K: Before the pandemic, another part of our days was the networking events and finding shows for our artists to perform at my personal favorite part of the job. As far as creating content, figuring out how to design the artwork for singles and albums is extremely collaborative making sure that the artists are completely pleased and execute their vision.

What would you say is the number one hardest thing about being a start up label and why?

Making a name for yourself in the industry is super hard. Trying to build the connections within the industry or the music scene, it’s complicated, hoping companies will take you seriously, hoping you’re reaching out to the right people. You need that endurance, this is really a marathon. It's easy to feel helpless especially if we get caught up comparing ourselves or counting the times our emails are ignored. All about patience though, and showing respect to those who laid out some stepping stones for us to even be where we’re at and do what we do.

So as of now you have three artists signed to your roster including Amaka Queenette, Elyssa Plaza, and Chris Chand. How did the label and the artists get together and what led to the formal business relationship being established between each of them?

I reached out to Amaka after Kéia showed me her Instagram. I sent her a DM telling her that I was interested in working with her and after some time she pitched an idea to me about wanting to organize an artist showcase. We ended up putting on Gestalt: A Showcase in August 2019 at Lee’s Palace together and it created a good working and trusting relationship between us. I met Elyssa through Instagram and also sent a DM about wanting to work on releasing a project. She was the first artist I reached out to, her voice was what I was looking for to represent the label and niche. We’ve had a couple shows and gone to many events together which has helped us as a brand and artist. Chris and I actually met at college until he dropped out of the program. This year he reached out to me about working together and we’ve created a very good and open working relationship. We have very similar goals which is great because it creates a friendlier relationship rather than a business one where we’re able to talk about any idea or plan.

With the artists you have signed so far how would you say all of them fit into the label as a whole, and how does their music as well as their overall presentation add to the image of Tomboy Records?

As a whole, they all represent what the label is. I stand by working and creating an environment that is 100% transparent and in favor of the artist, not myself personally or the brand, and they all reciprocate this towards me. Tomboy Records is not a genre specific label even though our roster right now creates all different R&B subgenres. However this does add to the overall presentation to our image because I want to show that all music is different and you do not have to commit to just one sound.

In addition to being a start up label you guys also announced a collaborative business venture with R&B Radar called Talent over Clout. What led to this collaboration and what are some of the long term goals you hope the partnership will achieve?

We actually connected because Tommy, the founder of R&B Radar, showed high interest in our roster. We have similar goals of helping artists and views of the industry so we decided to work together and create a super team to achieve our goals. The long term goals I hope our partnership will achieve is creating a community in our industry that is truly about the artist and music rather than money.

What’s next for the label? What are some big goals as a team you guys hope to accomplish before the year is over?

C: We‘re hoping to push out some more music and finish projects we’re working on with our artists. As a team, before the year is over we want to keep building relationships with others in the industry and gaining more opportunities.

K: Hopefully some more shows depending on how COVID goes over and some more music videos.

Hey there folks! On this episode of Isolation Station we take you through some of the albums that have been in our rotation for the last couple of months. Between COVID-19, the election and the general chaos that has taken the world by storm this year, you might have missed some of the best projects that came out during this pandemic; but fear not! We’ve got you covered!

Yaya Bey – Madison Tapes

Starting us off at the top of the list is singer/songwriter Yaya Bey and her project “Madison Tapes”. Yaya Bey is an artist based out of Brooklyn, NYC and since the start of her career in 2016 Yaya has been making major moves for a while now. Yaya has a very specific acid jazz/lo-fi feel and across her entire discography you can tell she has a great love and appreciation for music. In addition she chooses to address subject matters in her songs which tend to be very personal and politically charged. This love and focus stays consistent with the release of Madison Tapes. A total of 19 tracks in total and split into 2 parts, this project is a definite low-tempo, chill vibe.

UnoTheActivist – 8

If there’s someone who knows how to keep his audience wanting more, that would be rapper UnoTheActivist. Dropping his last project in 2019, UnoTheActivist’s “8” is an amazing project from beginning to end. Throughout this album, Uno hones his craft and perfects his style while using his many influences to create a body of work that his fans won’t forget. Addressing issues to do with the music industry and its tyrannical approach to owning their artists while flexing all of the bands he’s made from the “mumble rap shit”, this record is a definite party bop; while it might not be the best idea to host a 500+ person gathering (looking at you, Red Deer) this would go over well with a fun environment and a small get-together.

Bladee – 333

Bladee (Benjamin Reichwald) is a Swedish rapper that works with Yung Lean, Ecco2k and Thaiboi Digital; forming Drain Gang in 2013. This record is a work of experimental rap/alt pop and escape room genius. Every single on here slaps; while this genre and sound might take a little bit of getting used to, once it clicks it becomes a daily anthem (I have the whole album on my daily playlist.) This is Bladee’s most approachable project. The melodies are simple and the flourishes don’t go all over the place like his last album: Exeter (we don’t talk about that one). While some songs go harder than others; this is a record to have as background music. A very mesmerizing, hypnotic rap record to say the least.

Boldy James & The Alchemist – The Price Of Tea In China (Deluxe Edition)

The Alchemist is back and much more powerful than before; the GRISELDA type production has yet to become “boring” and “overdone” as he recruits Boldy James: a very powerful name in the boombap/NYC style delivery on this 10/10 project. Featuring incredibly prolific names like Freddie Gibbs, Benny The Butcher and Vince Staples; this is an album you cannot miss out on. From the swooping, desolate instrumentals to the hardcore boombap beats.

Scrim – A Man Rose From The Dead

Scrim (Scott Anthony Arceneaux Jr.) is the second half of the iconic duo: $uicideBoy$. Still in the same vein of horror-core/sad rap, Scrim’s delivery on his debut album is a force to be reckoned with. On this project, Scrim dives deep into his insecurities and lack of faith in a benevolent force that protects humanity from evil.

The production is out of this world, the lyricism is descriptive and the drive to create something that stands out of the usual sound we’re all used to is acknowledged and; while abrasive and brash for some, is as smooth as butter for others. This is a 20 song debut album with no features, all bars.

I hope this little collection of music can inspire you all to take life in moments and not worry about the next few months. This pandemic doesn’t seem to have any prospects of letting up or getting better any time soon; so why not drown all of the noise and confusion with a heavy duty dosage of bops, bangers and booming tunes?

Big Sean - Detroit 2

Big Sean is back and in seemingly the biggest way possible. Coming off of a three-year hiatus after the release of his I Decided album, which is now certified RIAA Platinum, Big Sean decided that there wouldn’t be a better place to stage a comeback than back in his home of Detroit, Michigan. Detroit 2 is a sequel to Sean’s 2012 mixtape of the same title.

What makes this a standout record for us at Nefarious Supply is the sheer hunger in Sean’s lyricism, flow, delivery, and topics tackled. We see the Detroit-born artist reach down into the Michigan earth and take tight hold of his roots.

In this review, NS is here to tell you all our absolute favorite tracks off the album! Sean Don is back, and needless to say, we’re glad that he is. 😈

Deep Reverence (ft. Nipsey Hussle)

Deep Reverence is Big Sean’s chance for recollection and introspection. A golden track from start to finish, Nipsey Hussle deepens the meaning behind the track’s title and even Sean’s subject matter, with him looking back on his life and how far he’s come since then. On the song the two rap heavyweights trade bars about the various pressures of life, whether its pleasing fans, staying true to oneself. gang violence, personal troubles, and the rap game as a whole.

Big Sean states in February 2020: “I was working on this song with Nip and then Nip passed…”

He eventually released the song having finalized it, saying: “the world needs to hear [and] feel Nipsey presence!”

Wolves (ft. Post Malone)

Wolves establishes the first collaboration between Big Sean and Post Malone. Originally helming an A$AP Rocky verse, the track’s feature artist was soon switched to Post Malone, saving the Rocky collab for another track on the album. The wolves Big Sean is referring to in this track are his family. The two artists draw distinct parallels between their environment and community and wolves, invoking themes of dominance and loyalty to the pack.

The feature on this heavily murky production serves to only accentuate the theme behind the music, that they were raised by wolves, in a cold world, where you can be predator or prey.

ZTFO

ZTFO, short for “Zen The Fuck Out” which is a phrase the listener will become pretty familiar with, is another breakout track from the album. It features stellar adlibs by fellow rap heavyweight, Travis Scott, as well as fine-tuned production by Chase B, and sports Big Sean redistributing the various channels bad energy that comes in his direction. He never lets these bad vibes control or affect his state of mind, by the end of his infectious track, we’re pretty sure you’ll be singing the chorus too.

Guard Your Heart (ft. Anderson .Paak, Earlly Mac & Wale)

Guard Your Heart is one of our slower selections from Detroit 2. A beautiful walk through a metaphorical park with Anderson .Paak in one hand and Earlly Mac in the other, Big Sean skips along this song this introspective hit as both artists at his side lead him seamlessly to the final verse, hammered home by Wale. This is a point in the album where Big Sean reins himself in, as all four artists delve into their innermost thoughts.

Respect It (ft. Young Thug)

Respect It is the eleventh track on the album and has both Young Thug and Sean Don claiming the respect they deserve. With production handled by Detroit 2’s executive producer, Hit-Boy, the two rappers state their various accomplishments and takes inventory over their material belongings, flexing and demanding the deference and acclaim that got them to this point of their career in the first place.

The grungy trap beat fits underneath the two vocalists well, and the beat switch near the end seals the deal for us for this track.

Lithuania (ft. Travis Scott)

Probably the most popular song on the album, Lithuania features our very own Texas-made Travis Scott, who tackles a very infectious chorus with our very own Sean Don. The two trade bars on his braggadocious banger, rapping about their many travels and how fly they look at TSA and Baggage Claim, which is probably a nod to the northeast European country this song was named after. A catchy hook and even catchier bars, this is a solid track through and through.

Don Life (ft. Lil Wayne)

Don Life is the most celebratory track off of Detroit 2 for us. Featuring rap legend Lil Wayne and sampling the legendary Michael Jackson track, “Human Nature”, the two artists drop heavy verses discussing their relentless work ethic and perseverance in the face of hate and doubt. This collab was first teased in May 2019, and was the second half of a the same studio session where they released “I Do It”.

HateSonny - Goldenchild

HateSonny first things first I wanted to thank you for agreeing to interview Nefarious Supply as our featured artist this week, so just to get the interview started, introduce yourself to who is HateSonny and what got you down the path to becoming a musician?

Love, thank y’all for reaching out. To sum it up i’m just an expressive person, and always used some form of artistic medium to express myself. Making music just felt natural because there were always musical people around me growing up. My pops used to be a DJ so I always got exposed to a bunch of different styles of music growing up, and my auntie was a singer. The path of making music just always felt natural to me, but as of recent I’m starting to truly understand what it means to be an artist.

Where are you currently based out of and how would you say this area has influenced your overall sound?

Born and raised and currently reside in Chicago. Being from out here gave me a melting pot of different experiences to pull from for my music especially coming from the south side. My people always tried to keep me away from the violence and shit, but when it’s so persistent you just learn to adapt to it. The two biggest influences to the music direction I’m headed towards musically are drill music and Chicago house music.

In addition to influencing your sound, how is this area's underground scene for up and coming and emerging artists? Is it currently a hub and if so what are some of the artists you have worked with?

The scene is weird out here. It’s pretty clique based and divisive, but there’s an overabundance of talent out here for sure. Some artist i’m fucking with out here besides HL and the guys are J Wade, Serena Isioma, Vince Ash, WemmyMo, and Pat Guwop.

What artists or individuals have had the biggest impact on your sound, and who are the top 5 artists you listen to on a regular basis?

My favorite artists of all time are Kanye, Mos Def, Daft Punk, Lil Wayne, and Pharrell. I would say each of them influence me in different ways. Like I'm influenced by Kanye and Pharrell production, Wayne and Mos Def rapping abilities, and Daft Punk just overall raw as hell to me.

So getting into your music over the last 2 years you’ve put out amazing bodies of work including; Sonny vs The World, Bad Luck, Good Luck, and Do Not Disturb tell us about each of them, and what were the inspirations for the sound of the projects as well as the titles?

So Sonny vs. The World was just an EP of some songs I had made around that time that I just felt like putting out, there wasn’t really any interesting story or anything behind it. Bad Luck and Good Luck were made to sonically counter each other. I wanted to explore my range and versatility and see what I was capable of doing within each respective sonic realm. Kinda to let people watch me progress. Do Not Disturb was influenced by a state of recluse and depression I went through, I wanted to make a project that just reflected the shit I had on my mind at the time.

You also recently put out your newest album for 2020 Golden Child, tell us about this newest album the creative process behind it, and your experience making the album?

So I made Golden Child with the intention of fully coming to a realization of myself as an artist. I wanted to take elements of sounds I explored in the past and expand on all of them to see what would come of them. It’s the soundtrack to my life essentially.

You’ve worked with a range of talented producers and artists but out of everyone who are some your favorites to collaborate with and why?

My favorite producers to work with easily are Luke Almighty, Gus Chvany, and MyFriendNate solely because they’re all just the homies. I’ve worked with a lot of producers and in a lot of environments, but I always make my best music with people who I know and can get comfortable around. Recording and writing is a super vulnerable process for me so it makes it a lot easier and enjoyable to make music with people I have genuine connections with.

Even though 2020 has been kind of a shit show we’re you able to accomplish some of your goals for the year and going into 2021 what are somethings you hope to accomplish?

Yeah, I’m pretty satisfied with what I was able to accomplish this year especially in regards to the state of the world and all that bullshit. A lot of really cool content got made and I’m excited for everyone to see it all.

Aria Bléu - Talent Over Clout's Newest Muse

Aria Blèu thank you for reaching out to set up an interview with Nefarious Supply! We are really excited to feature you on the blog this week! So just to get started introduce yourself who is Aria Bléu and what experiences led you down the path to becoming an artist?

Of course! You guys are amazing, thank you for having me. I’m Aria Bléu, and I’m an up and coming R&B/Neo-soul artist. I’ve been singing for just about as long as I could talk. Music has always been a big part of my life, especially coming from such a musical family myself. I gained my initial fanbase from being on Season 14 of NBC’s The Voice. My time on the show really molded me into a better singer and performer, but it wasn’t until after being eliminated that I was able to find out who I was as an artist and the space I wished to occupy in music. While I was on the show, I needed to uphold a certain tv-friendly image, and that ended up seeping through to every aspect of my life, even down to what I posted on social media and how I carried myself in public. It felt like I was constantly walking on eggshells and through that experience, I realized that’s the opposite of how I want to approach music and my artistry. I want to be unapologetically me. I want to be transparent and expose the hard-to-look-at parts of myself. I want my music to be honest and raw. As an artist, I want people to really see who I am and get to know me through the lyrics I sing.

I think the biggest theme you can find in my music has to do with the content of my songs and how I approach songwriting. With most of the songs I write, I try to take a specific moment/experience and stretch it throughout the length of the song as opposed to singing in abstractions or generalities.

For example, the meaning of my songs aren’t typically as abstract as “being in love” instead the song would be about going on a “Joyride” and realizing through the nuances of that ride that you don’t want it to end (hinting at the bliss, fresh feelings of new love). Another example would be “On & On”, where instead of speaking in general terms and feelings experienced during a “break-up” I take it a step further and hone in on that moment when your ex is begging you to take them back, but all you can think about is how they keep going on & on ….. and on & on!

It’s really important for me to take these distinct relatable moments and write a song detailing that experience because I find it resonates so much more with my listeners. In these moments, my fans feel seen and heard and that’s my end goal. I never want to seem surface-level, disconnected, or vague. I want my listeners to know that I’m right there with them and these moments happen to everyone! You’re not alone!

Who inspires you for your sound? Who were the main influences in your life that helped you along the way or maybe even said something in a book or tv show one time that inspired you? Who, if anyone, would you say is a major?

Lauryn Hill is hands-down my biggest inspiration of all time. I grew up listening to her music on repeat, and even in my adult years continued to listen to her endlessly. I’m 100% sure there isn’t one song of hers that I don’t know (super fan, I know). Her tone, her demeanor, and overall sound have been something I’ve studied and loved for years. It’s funny because after I reintroduced myself as Aria Bléu and right before I dropped my EP, Familiar Stranger, I saw a clip of her on IG talking to a crowd during a live performance that really resonated with me. In the clip she says, “this the first time y’all meeting me, don’t think you met me before... and as I grow you're gonna meet me a little bit more, you're going to be exposed to the real me a little bit more … I had to reintroduce myself to everyone I know... yall never knew me, I wanna introduce you to me… I’m just getting to know me.”

This is the exact message I wanted my audience to hear and to digest. Yes, you saw me on The Voice, yes we went to high school together, hell, even college, maybe we worked together, but at the end of the day, you do not know me. I have changed and adapted in ways I didn’t even think were possible during the creation of my debut EP. During that time, I was able to really put myself out there and reopen old wounds for everyone to see. I wanted to start from scratch, lay myself out on the table, and I wanted everyone to receive me only in the ways I’m willing to share. No preconceived notions or projections. Just take what I give and I’ll allow you to get to know me as I get to know myself.

What would you say keeps your current audience listening and why should people start listening if they haven’t already? What parts of you as an artist do you feel are most attractive to your audience?

I’ve been told on numerous occasions that my music brings listeners feelings of nostalgia. That has been my audience's favorite part of my music -- the way it makes them feel. It’s not gimmicky, it’s not fake, just genuine lyrics, soothing melodies, and warm vocals that bring back memories of R&B’s primetime. My music has drawn comparisons between Lauryn Hill, India Aire, Toni Braxton, etc and people have always told me my deep raspy tone is what draws them in. 99% of my inspiration comes from 90’s Neo-Soul and 2000’s R&B so I probably should expect it, but you couldn’t imagine how flattered I am every time someone loops me into that category. I say all that to say this, if you haven’t heard my music and you miss “real r&b” (not my words, don’t shoot the messenger!), you’ll definitely want to check out my projects because I’ve been told it sounds like I’ve stepped out of a time machine!

Who do each of you listen to on a regular basis? Who are your go-to artists that really strike your creative nerve? Or are simply your favorite artists to sit back?

I would say my Top 5 go-to artists are Lauryn Hill (obvi), Ari Lennox, Destiny’s Child , Masego, and Amy Winehouse. They all kind of play a different part in how they inspire my own music. Lauryn gives me the warmth, Ari Lennox gives me the silliness, Destiny’s Child the melodies, Masego the musicalities, and Amy Winehouse with the sassiness. I keep them all in my rotation at all times, and no matter how many times I’ve listened to them, it slaps just as hard as the first time.

You recently just signed a management deal with the start up company Talent Over Clout which is a collaborative effort from R&B Radar and Tom Boy Records, how did that happen and tell us about your experience working with them so far?

At the end of 2019, I found RnBRadar and instantly fell in love with their playlists and IG page. It seemed like every week I was being put onto a new underground artist! Before I dropped my first ever single, On & On, I sent them a music submission to see if they wanted to collaborate with me and offer promo services. They agreed, saying they loved the song, and that they’d be happy to collab! From there, it was history. The initial support I got from Tommy Banks (Founder of RnBRadar) was unmatched and I immediately knew I wanted to keep him in my circle. As time went on, he continued to repost my music, add me to playlists, set up external opportunities for me, and just loudly support my entire music career without me even asking. He was genuinely invested in my success as an artist. Needless to say, when he offered the opportunity to manage me, it was a no brainer! He had already proved his work ethic and he’s shown his passion for my art; that’s all I needed. I’ve been signed to Talent Over Clout for less than a month and when I tell you the number of doors that have already been opened for me because of it, you’d be amazed. There is so much TOC has been doing behind the scenes to really get me to the next level and into more ears, I just can’t believe we didn’t do this sooner!

Not too long ago you released your EP “Familiar Stranger” which is an amazing project! So just tell us about it, what inspired the overall sound of the EP, who helped you on the production end of things, and give us a quick walk through for each track?

Thank you so much! Familiar Stranger is such an important project to me and I’m so glad my introduction into music was something I can honestly say I’m proud of and I didn’t stop working on until I felt it was right. The EP went through many different phases, I often joke that the EP itself is a familiar stranger to the EP I began with. Songs changed, ideas adapted, and ultimately I made sure Familiar Stranger was a project that would properly reintroduce myself to the world. Although I may seem familiar, my journey could definitely warrant me a stranger to some.

Familiar Stranger in its entirety tells a story about the 5 stages of a relationship gone sour: the honeymoon phase, the impulsive infatuation, the messy break-up, the toxic back and forth, and finally the emotional resolution. At the start of the EP, Joyride is sonically trance-like, playing on the idea that new love can be mesmerizing even while doing the simplest things like going for a long drive. Livening things up a bit, we move onto Mirage which shows us the risque side of new love by tempting my boyfriend (at the time) to sneak away with me and leave everything else behind. In the next track , listeners are met with a jazzy band, upbeat energy, and my way of quickly humbling my recent ex; telling him I see through the facade and know he's only with his new girl, to make me jealous. Mission failed. This upbeat energy is continued into the next track, Reminiscing, where I know I shouldn’t be dealing with my toxic ex, but hey, who else am I gonna call at 3am? Familiar Stranger then closes with my debut single, On & On, where I poke fun at my ex, allowing him to beg for another chance, while all I can focus on is the unconvincing rambling.

Juan Zeek produced 4/5 songs on the EP (impressive, right!?) and Charlie Heat x Matt Busco produced Mirage. I spent a lot of time in LA and Philly studios with Charlie Heat, writing and recording the songs on my EP. He really helped me with getting my reps up in the studio and getting used to being in that environment. The process of writing, recording, and getting this EP produced was such an eye-opening one that although there were many roadblocks and delays, I wouldn’t trade it for the world!

What are some goals you have accomplished so far in 2020 and before the year is over what are goals you hope to achieve?

Well for starters, I just signed with Talent Over Clout for management and Roc Nation’s EQDistro for distribution, so I’ll say I’m well beyond my expectations here! Familiar Stranger has accumulated over 390k+ streams and has been featured in multiple digital publications, including Lyrical Lemonade and Hype Magazine. My latest single, Theory of You, has been met with overwhelmingly positive praise and has been my most successful release week to date. On top of that, both releases have landed placements on numerous playlists, such as Tidal’s “Rising R&B”, “Sleeping on Gems”, “Lyrical Lemonade”, and RnBRadar’s “R&B Gems.” I’m incredibly blessed to have these kinds of opportunities at such an early point in my career!

As for the rest of my 2020 goals, as long as I continue to make consistent growth on my streaming numbers and steadily increase my fanbase, I’ll be happy! If I had to pick concrete checklist goals, I’d love to perform one of my songs live for the digital music platforms such as, COLORS, NPR’s Tiny Desk, BBC Radio live, etc before the year ended. Any of those would be such an insane opportunity.

For new musicians just starting out what is some advice you would give to them that you wish you knew when you first started?

I would say surround yourself with people that truly believe in your art and your vision. Don’t get caught up in the idea that someone else may know what’s best for you and their changes will be for the better (trust me, it doesn’t end well). Don’t get caught up in the clout and numbers game. It’s better to grow with someone that has your back, then trying to jump on the bandwagon of someone who will kick you off in a heartbeat. You know yourself better than anyone else. Remain in control of your creative process and your brand. Manifest your realities because as soon as you truly believe in it and can see it for yourself, I promise you the pieces will fall into place. Be a vessel and let the music work through you. Remove your ego, pride, and all things that can stifle creativity and be authentically you!!!!

Kaash Paige - Teenage Fever

D’kyla Paige Woolen, known professionally as Kaash Paige is a break out singer-songwriter, hailing from Dallas, Texas. Signing with Se Lavi Productions and Def Jam Recordings at just 19 years of age, Paige is also now managed by the Jay-Z helmed Roc Nation. With this and her blowing up on TikTok Paige had all the right ingredients to drop a lustrous freshman album, and solidify herself as a new addition to the game.

London

The first track on the album, Kaash starts the album with a slow-burning production with a nice guitar progression and a complimenting 808 that slows even further to mesh with her warped vocals at points of the track. Paige speaks on topics of loyalty, her ambitions for the future, and how she peeps everything from her spot at the famous London, hence the title.

Grammy Week

Grammy Week is pretty self-explanatory in its theme. Kaash sings and raps over a watery and clouded beat which clears itself up to reveal some subtle synth-like progressions overtop a nice and staccato-sequel beat. With a fitting guest feature from Don Toliver, the two touch on the topic of success, with even Kaash predicting her Grammy night at the beginning of the track.

Lost Ones

Kaash slides over Lost Ones, her voice dances over the beat effortlessly and her vocal runs, plus the flow of her lyricism lead the listener on a nice yet compelling journey, letting them get comfortable but not complacent in actively hearing her lyrics, which touch on love and the search for the lost ones in question.

Soul Ties (ft. ssgkobe)

With a beautiful guitar riff opener, Kaash Paige slides onto the first few seconds of Soul Ties with a fitting, soulful take on her fear of being taken for granted and played with. ssgkobe compliments this theme by reassuring that as long as they're together she’s all he’s focused on. Together they ride out the chorus. “Down for the worse or the better.”

Fake Love (ft. 42 Dugg)

Seeming to be a recurring theme in her style of music, Kaash starts off Fake Love with a bouncy, repeating guitar riff, which is soon flavored with tasty 808s and synths. The production surrounds Paige’s vocals in a beautiful coating, as if they're both guiding each other to a satisfying finish. Her topic is very straight forward, and 42 Dugg hammers this point home with his pinpoint feature.

Jaded

A darker and more introspective take on her new relationship with the individual in question, revealing the problems that have strained their relationship from the start. She reassures that all they need is some practice, because at this point, their love seems to have come to a halt. Paige again effortlessly conveys her message with a vibe attached.

FRIENDS

An upbeat addition on Teenage Fever, Paige switches between beats and warped vocals, creating an almost Travis Scott-esque atmosphere for the listener as she conveys her lack of trust for the world. She can't be more than friends with anyone, and can't even imagine anything more than those car rides in a Benz.

Break Up Song (ft. K CAMP)

Break Up Song is Kaash Paige’s apology in advance to anyone she gets involved with. She’s a dog through and through, and wants them to know they can easily leave her be, but if they want to be apart of the world, then here’s the disclaimer. K CAMP eats his verse and rides the wave reinforcing Paige’s take before she swings back in for the infection hook once again.

Pull Up

Kaash Paige rides yet again with an addicting acoustic opener that climbs before dropping into a deep and full 808, that Paige dwells in before surfing into the chorus of the track. Pull Up has Paige keeping things lowkey with someone, asking them to pull up (most likely in the aforementioned Benz) and getting lit in the front seat, and back.

Problems (ft. Isaiah Rashad)

With an incredibly rare feature from TDE’s very own Isaiah Rashad, Paige pours her soul out on the track, even starting off the bat telling the listener there’s a lot on her mind. Spending habits, soul searching, inconsistency, these are all worries that Paige is completely transparent about. Rashad conveys how he deals with these perpetual problems in life, by heading to his “throne” or his crib, where his friends stay, lighting up a jay and vibing with the crew for the night.

SOS

Paige’s acoustic intro is softer and more deliberate on SOS, and her vocals, which stay the same in intensity and tone, are focused to more lighter and colorful aftertones. Her vocals are beautiful, with the autotuned runs doing feats akin to Trippie Redd’s level raw intensity. Fake friends, failed relationships, the price of fame, political strife, even through it all Paige still has the strength to know that the sun shines on, after the darkest nights.

Mrs. Lonely

A synth opening this time, Paige vibes on the intro, before creatively asking what the point of friends even is if they end up leaving in the end. Paige feels mentally lost and as if her time is running out, the only thing that seems to slow this down are the drugs she consumes. At the end of the melancholy second-to-last, Paige ponders what the other side looks like.

Karma

The final track on Teenage Fever, Paige takes a moment to sit down and talk with the listener about this crucial stage of adolescence, and all that comes with it, depression, relationships, love, hate, drugs, and as she says, everything else. The production gradually raises with the intensity of her voice, before all coming to the momentous halt, and then Karma starts. The aforementioned other side? Yeah, this is it. And instead of wondering about it, Paige actively yearns for the deceptive mistress.

For the last track, Paige hammers it home that she is here to stay, past TikTok, past any dance or singing challenge, or any views, Kaash Paige has made her mark.

2morrownight - Summer With You

2morrow night bro welcome back to Nefarious Supply! Last time we caught up with you was March and with how 2020 has been that feels like a lifetime! So just give us an update with you, what’s going on and how has your 2020 been so far?

First of all appreciate all the love & support I get from y'all foreal been with me since day one and also thanks for featuring me on your platform again. Since the last interview I had with y’all I’ve been doing a lot more music either with my own singles, production for other artist, or mixing for other artists. I’ve just been active and tryna get my name out there more. Also been working on my first EP, Summer With You, that just dropped !

So with the start of Covid everything was shut down and the majority of the US had to stay indoors for quarantine so my question is how did you spend your quarantine were you able to accomplish some goals you had?

So far with Covid happening I’ve actually lost the studio I’ve been working at for music which lead to me working from home for music, but personally I feel like I’ve made the best music I’ve ever made so far with my home studio setup. I feel that so far I’ve accomplished my goal which was creating an EP and drop it this year.

In addition to accomplishments, what artists did you bump during quarantine and what are some of your favorite albums of the year so far?

I’ve been bumping a lot of underground RnB artists like: Marr Grey, Cliff, Lais and more. I like to support the underground scene since I’m part of that as well. I’ve been listening mainstream music as well like The Weeknd & Drake, but also one of the artist/albums that stood out for me during quarantine was Limbo by Aminé. That album was put together very good. My favorite song off that project would be Compensating (feat. Young Thug). Overall I would say that’s my fav album of 2020 so far.

So after much anticipation you just dropped your debut project “Summer With You”, give us a brief introduction and tell us about the meaning of the title as well as what inspired it?

Yes finally my debut Ep, Summer With You, is finally out !!! It’s a 5 track Ep that features: Cliff, DazeOnEast, & Sean Bay. The meaning of the title is basically just the life and time spent with my girl in the summer time and made it into a project. What inspired me to create this project was a beat pack that RO$EGOLD sent me while I was in my old studio, which was the beat that is now a song, Drink Smoke (feat. DazeOnEast & Sean Bay). That was the first track I recorded, but at the time was only the chorus and some freestyles.

Summer With You is an amazing addition to your discography and features 5 tracks walk us through each of them and who helped you with production as well as mixing and mastering with each?

So, Summer With You has 5 tracks with amazing artists featured and very talented producers.This project was made in my brothers bedroom with my own studio setup. The project was mixed by Merkzyyy and mastered by Soundsbymoon.

Starting with the first track off the project, Appealing who features CLIFF. The production on this track was RO$EGOLD & UNKWN who did an amazing job. This track really gives a great intro track to the Ep.

The second track is Patient, which is the single I dropped for the project a couple months before the project dropped. The production was done by a good friend of mine Samuel Ivy. We worked not this track together in our studio we owned before.

The third track off the Ep is Drink Smoke (feat. DazeOnEast & Sean Bay). Production was done by RO$EGOLD. At first, the track was only featuring Sean Bay, but a couple weeks before finalizing the tracks I got DazeOnEast to feature as well which made the track a masterpiece.

The fourth track is Her Interlude produced by Anakin, which is my producing alter ego. I produced this beat in the beginning of 2020 and crazy that I came back to that beat after months and made the track. The final track is In or Nah (Prod. RO$GOLD). A very nice laid back dancehall track that gives nice outdo vibes for the project.

So in making this project did your creative process change from your usual, and if so what are some things that you did different with this project

The recording process for this project was way different then my previous tracks I’ve dropped. I usually had someone engineer for me in the old studio I worked at, but for this project I recored everything myself in my brothers room. Also, I usually write some stuff out while the beat plays, but this time was more of freestyles until I have the perfect recordings.

Off rip all 5 songs are good but some of my favorites on the album gotta be “Drink Some”, and “Patient,what are some of your favorite tracks off of the album?

I’d say my favorite tracks would be Drink Smoke & Patient as well along with the first track Appealing feat. Cliff. I would say personally those 3 tracks would be my best work so far.

Can fans expect any visuals to accompany the project?

Currently I am working on getting a Patient video going and Drink Smoke video as well just very difficult with covid going around, but forsake those 2 will have visuals soon.

So what’s next for you can fans expect any new music in the near future and what are some goals you hope to accomplish before 2020 ends?

Maybe my fans can expect a Deluxe project for Summer With You depending on how they react or show love for the project. Definitely will have another great feature on there. Possibly a Patient remix who knows. I will get back on my every 2 weeks of dropping singles a lot of them RnB vibes for the fall and winter. One of the goals I want to accomplish before the year ends is definitely dropping visuals, have more fans that support me, and just give my fans more music !!! ISOLATION STATION EP 5 - AS WE PROCEED

In this segment we’re giving life to the leagues of music being dropped every week during this trying, yet, interestingly enough, personal time.

We at Nefarious Supply want you guys to always have a new underground project or creator, either on your mind, on your playlist, or on your feed in some way, shape, or form. In this instance, we’re doing this on an episodic basis and deciding to write on all the new music coming in through this station, five tracks at a time.

Our fifth episode shows us the importance of caution and quality in our next steps. “As we proceed” is a saying widely-known, especially throughout the African-American community, it propagates the feeling of hopefulness but also of care and attention to detail, of making silent and careful moves, then showing out with a bang when no one expects. As we proceed, let’s be creative, and committed.

Hatesonny - Damage Control

We first heard Hatesonny on Serena Isioma’s Sensitive EP, specifically the track, Move, where the artist laid down a groovy and swelling verse, which complimented Serena’s feminine energy on the track almost flawlessly. On his new album, Golden Child, Hatesonny shows us exactly who he is as an artist.

From the piano-driven melody on top to the bass-thumping 808s beneath, Hatesonny delivers on every part of “Damage Control”, the first track off of his third album. Hatesonny comes with a vengeance for that #1 spot.

Black$tar x Mayal - Jump in the Party

Black$tar and Mayal are back at it again on another piping hot track! The two Calgary natives strike while the iron is hot and make their mark on Jump In The Party. With a nostalgic beast of a beat with a grand production Black$tar gets his point across that he will have fun, no matter what, where, when, or why.

Flexing so much even his ex acknowledges he has it, Black$tar bars are uplifting and also direct and confident, meshing well with Mayal’s masterful use of autotune and melodic synergy with the beat, that he possesses on every track.

Jump in the Party is definitely a feel-good banger that you’ll be singing in the back of your head for a while.

SwaVay - Yaya

DOLO Records’ very own SwaVay features on this episode of the Isolation Station. The opening track “Yaya”, off of his album B4dalbum. Instantly, Kendrick comes to mind as the flute progression and the soft 808-led beat creep along the bottom of the track’s production, the emphasis is focused on SwaVay’s lyrics, and boy are they worth the attention.

Bars comparing Bernie Mac, stu pigeons, big dogs, and cool midgets, as well as thanking God for his Christian roots, not even insinuating, more so telling the listener to the point what he’d do if he wasn’t, these effortless flows as well as the carefully curated production are what put SwaVay ahead of most of his peers.

SAEED - Faded Freestyle

SAEED is back people! With his new freestyle, Faded, the Chicago artist tries to drink away his problems, may have fallen in love, or was it the drink in his hand? He’s confident but also unsure of himself. However, at the end of the day, he’s going to keep it moving and keep working.

This is the underlying theme of the track, however SAEED’s fun take on the overlaying theme of a drunken night in the club, vibing over a heavy-hitting, spacey beat is him in his prime lane and vibe, and we hope his sound only continues to evolve beautifully.

Freddy Leone & Apollo1027 - Freak Show (ft. David Sulky)

Freddy Leone and Apollo1027 team up on a surprise collab de3with their EP, The Third Generation. Their standout track, Freak Show, portrays Leone and Apollo in their prime form, seamlessly switching flows as they trade lyrical blows left-right overtop a beautifully full and brimming production style.

The beat focuses heavily on making the space for both artists to run at their fullest speed, with topics of sexual freedom, lost time, letting go, keeping secrets, promises kept and broken, and of course, having the money to fund the lifestyle that propagates these hazardous, yet intriguing situations.

Featuring artist, David Sulky’s, beautiful finishing verse before the refrain solidifies him as an artist to look out for. Sultry, high-vibrato tones put him on a pedestal for all to listen and love. Overall a standout track from these Orlando giants.
